STEEL ON STEEL CAUSES FRICTION and WEAR: When you try to protect the Holland Pin Coupler 
Fish Mouth clevis head with a steel pad you do help protect the inside wall of the clevis head. But, then you have the problem of the steel drawbar eye rubbing as the trailer moves. Steel on Steel causes friction. And that friction causes wear to the draw bar eye.
The EWP Poly Wearpad protects the inside wall of the Fish Mouth clevis head and cushions the drawbar eye as the trailer moves. Therefore protecting the Fish Mouth clevis head and minimizing wear to the the draw bar eye.
